Pomponio SRL was founded in 2000, after many years of experience in the Romanian construction business. Initially, the company operated through several interdependent activities within the broader field of industrial construction, with each department carrying out activities specific to its field as a distinct company of the group. Until 2019, Pomponio operated under this structure. In 2019 and 2020, the group reorganized through intragroup mergers and business transfers, resulting in the current organizational structure of the company.
Pomponio operates in compliance with certified European standards applicable to its main construction and production activities.

The name Pomponio was chosen because during excavation work for the office foundations, was discovEred a Roman terracotta plaque belonging to an ancient Roman builder named Pomponio. At the beginning, the company operated as a general contractor in industrial and civil construction.
Over the years, Pomponio expanded its business And expertise into steel structures and prefabrication, bringing these activities into its core construction and infrastructure operations.
